Candle Beach
shore of Lake Michigan – in Chicago?
I would take my girlfriend to the beach of Lake Michigan in Chicago and enjoy the sun, water and sand. then have a good romantic candle lit dinner on the beach. when is a good place that is what some isolated along the lake that I could goto? where i can park if you prefer the car to be close to what I can run and get dinner for her surprise? Also, what I can bring food, alcohol, and cigarette lighters / candles at the beach? Is there a site that I could find a map of good places along the lake for this and other information? I'm not very familiar with chicago …
At this time of year there really is no retreat "area of the lake. You could take it to Montrose Harbor and in particular, the area where the ships entering and leaving the lake I guess." There's really no beach there, only the area where the boats dock. But it is probably one of the most underused and has a great view of the skyline. But as sandy beaches and go, most of them are filled on weekends. If you want seclusion, try to go during the week. If you choose to picnic on the grass near Montrose Harbor, you can park nearby. It's a bit difficult to reach (it has to kind of drive around and find the area where the boats dock. If you spend a little bait shop, is in the right direction.) But, if found, you can park right on the road. Please note: fill the weekend early. If you plan on doing this, or well go on a weeknight or arrive early in the morning. Arriving at the dinner can be tricky, you can bring food but no alcoholic beverages in Chicago parks. Of course, people hiding in alcohol (ahem) … I guess you can bring candles. have not seen a rule against it. And yet the smell marijuana smoke in the park I'm guessing matches and lighters can be (in fact people always used to light their barbecue grills.) I can not think of too many others to find possible locations a secluded place for dinner not be overrun with people. This is Chicago, a city of millions. When heated at weekends, people come to the lake and park in front the lake. You could come to Evanston, there are some isolated points. But since you are not familiar with Chicago, I'm not going to suggest that you get there. It can be it even more difficult to navigate.
