Why is there difference between power consumption and equal score halogen and incandescent bulbs candle?
instructions for the regulator indicate voltage; max.250w or 75% of this if the candle bulbs, 150W for halogen (red). someone can "enlighten" me. It makes no sense to me! The question is, why is equal to 250W incandescent lamps 150W or 180W halogen dimmer candle to vote ?….. all are of type incandescent ?…. resistive load.
Energy consumption is the same, but in some types of high efficiency lamps is not only a filament, but some electronics for starting late and this alters the power factor, which means that the burden is not just resistance but is inductive. The regulators are electronic and can only have a lesser load if the circuit is inductive.
