Evening Primrose
When is it safe to start using evening primrose oil during pregnancy?
I will be 34 weeks on Monday and want to know when it will sure to start using evening primrose oil. When can I start using it safely? How much? By mouth? Vaginally? Both?
It can be used safely at 36 weeks and later. **** You do not want to use the former because the EPO is used to prepare and soften the cervix cancer. If used too soon, could bring on preterm labor .**** can be taken orally and applied vaginally …. I started to drill capsules and the application of the EPO, once a day to my cervix at 36 weeks. Do this at night just before you're ready to go to sleep so they do not will. You may also want to wear a pad because it can be a little sticky when she awakens. After a week of doing that I added 1 pill a day, orally until birth. I think that really helped me. Although I was induced because of health reasons, my job was pretty quick (after doctors discovered what do!) I'm definitely going to be used again the next pregnancy. Hope this helps, Pamela
