im trying to learn to make cakes from scratch:) know of any good?
I just published this for someone else …. It really is the best chocolate cake is from scratch! This just melts in your mouth with chocolate goodness! You only need a small piece is so rich! Texas Sheet Cake Cake Ingredients: 2 cups sugar 2 cups flour 1 / 2 tsp. salt 2 sticks margarine 4 tablespoons cocoa 1 cup water 1 / 2 cup milk 1 tsp. 2eggs 1 teaspoon vanilla. Baking soda Frosting: 4 tablespoons margarine 2 tablespoons cocoa 3 tablespoons milk 1 / 2 tsp. vanilla 2 cups powdered sugar Instructions Preheat oven to 350 degrees on the cake: Mix sugar, flour and salt in a bowl. set aside. in a skillet over medium heat, melt margarine and boil with the cocoa and water. Add to the mix bowl. Add remaining ingredients. (milk, vanilla, baking soda, eggs) Pour into greased entire sheet approx. 10 x 15 (Jelly Roll Pan is called … seems like a very large baking sheet). Bake for 20 to 25 minutes. Frosting: Boil margarine, cocoa and milk. Add powdered sugar and mix until thickened. Add vanilla and frozen hot cake.
