Primitive Vintage

Where do I start to have a retro look vintage in my house?

I'm trying to move from a primitive country decorating style for a more vintage look of happy housewife, 1930 in 1950 to see at home. My budget is only a thread, not a shoe string. What is the first thing under cost I can do?
