Give a Gift Green

Give a gift can increase your sense of well being and happiness, and giving gifts can be green that a whole new level. What could be better than making someone happy while making the world a better place? Options are now green and make wonderful gifts a powerful statement while taking less of a toll on the environment than similar products on the market.
Options abound when considering gifts green. With more and more green options in stores, it is becoming easier to be environmentally conscious with your donation.
Clothing and bedding: If you are considering buying clothes, linens, fabrics, or others based on gifts, consider products that have a low impact on the environment, Ideally those who come from a renewable resource. Here are some options:
1. Toxic chemicals and pesticides commonly used synthetic in the treatment of cotton may result in the supply of land, air, food and water. Organically grown cotton is the best option because it reduces the impact on Earth and the exposure to these chemicals. Organically grown cotton is becoming easier to find and looks and feels like chemically assisted by the cotton.
2. Bamboo fiber requires less energy and water to grow and sustain than any other fiber-producing trees and plants. It can be grown without pesticides or chemicals and is a renewable resource for high performance. Bamboo fabrics are often described as "mild" compared to cotton.
3. Hemp fiber is created from plant fiber stronger and the reach of man. It has been used for centuries as a raw material fiber fabric sails, ropes and straps. Crops of hemp requires no herbicides or pesticides. The combination of its easy growth requirements and the force that makes a selection hemp fiber with a low environmental cost.
Paper products: If you are thinking of stationery, magazines, pretty storage boxes, all can be made from recycled paper. A simple Google search to turn hundreds of recycled paper products that can be used as unique gifts that have meaning for both receiver and a positive impact on our Earth.
Home D r: Not many options in buying a home d? r items made from sustainable sources. The general idea is to limit the impact on the Earth, so the search for materials recycled or re-proposed is the best way to go. Here are some options:
1. Recycled glass. Quarrying glass raw materials is much more energy-intensive recycling process into new products. Recycled glass products ranging from simple to elaborate dishes candlesticks, vases and lamps.
2. Teak railway sleepers from the colonial era. As the demand for hardwood damage forests more and more each year, the search for alternatives can have a significant impact. Teak is a beautiful hard wood used for railway sleepers in African and Indian colonies. The wood is recovered and formed into beautiful, unique pieces that have a long history and a long life.
Virtual gifts: You do not have give a physical gift to make someone happy. In fact, you can make people much happier if given in a number of "virtual gifts" to benefit the environment or other causes that are important for the recipient.
There are many options for these gifts, and can be completely customized to personal interests the recipient. For example, if you know someone who likes children and art, can make a donation in his name to an art program for children from the center of the city. If you know someone who enjoys scuba diving, you can make a donation to a protective reef program or provide information about donating your old computer to an island Pacific. You can make a donation to almost any type of organization almost anywhere in the world.
Whatever you do, keep in mind that eco-friendly gift is often as easy (or difficult!) as major gifts. When choosing a gift for a friend at the same time can do a good deed for the Earth.
