Glass Votive
I have a candle inside a glass of purple. See below the questions NOT FIT?
and here's the question: I have an inside in a glass votive purple. Light the candle is white, but when the light comes through the window that appears purple, why?
White light is composed of all the colors of the rainbow. Colored glass looks the way it does because it absorbs some colors and allows the passage of others. Purple is made red and blue means your glass allows light violet red and blue through and blocks green. Something that is green will look through the glass black purple and green is blocked, however, something that is blue will still look blue (but darker, probably), because the glass lets in light blue through.
