Tropical fruits: mangosteen, dragon fruit
If you like tropical fruits, these fruits are definitely as wonderful as the mangosteen and dragon fruit. Let's talk about it anymore.
Mangosteen
This is not handled. This is the mangosteen. The scientific name is Garcinia mangostana. Can be found in Southeast Asia, Central and Latin America South. Mangosteen also known as the "Queen of Fruits" (Asia) and the "food of the gods" (Caribbean). The skin of the fruit is light red when ripe, not edible. The edible white flesh is very sweet and delicious and it looks like cloves. Among the raw fruit, mangosteen juice is also very popular.
Mangosteen is rich in xanthones and fiber. The bark also many useful elements that can help cure diseases such as tuberculosis, infections urinary tract infections, infected wounds, malaria, gonorrhea and syphilis, hyperkeratosis, eczema, seborrhea, psoriasis and such.
Dragon fruit
The dragon fruit has many names. Botanical name is Hylocereus undatus (dragon fruit red) and megalanthus Selenicereus (yellow dragon fruit). Also known as Pitaya or Pitaya. Can be found in many tropical countries of Asia and Central America. Dragon Fruit is a fruit of cactus. Cactus Dragon fruit has large and very beautiful flower that blooms only at night and pollinated by bats and moths.
Pitaya has white or red or yellow edible flesh with many seeds small black interior. The fruit flavor is very sweet TENTER. You can eat dragon fruit separately, add to fruit salad, ice cream, mixing with a smoothie. There are many ways to eat pitahaya.
Dragon Fruit has many vitamins, minerals and useful components: Vitamin C, B vitamins, fiber, carotene, fat, ash, calcium, riboflavin, protein, niacin, iron.
